Sport Science training events for athletes and coaches |
PBscience hosts a series of one day and weekend performance workshops throughout the off season, open to both members and non-members alike. We ensure the topics covered are appropriate to that time in the year and that the content can be understood by cyclists - we welcome other cycle coaches too! Based on the PBscience philosophy that sports performance rests on the 3 pillars of training, recovery and nutrition in equal measure, these workshops will introduce the latest concepts in sport science to optimise performance preparation. Participation also allows a chance to question the PBscience team on individual issues within that topic area.
Workshop places are generally limited to 40 (depending on venue), with priority given to existing PBscience members. Subscribers on Member and Elite plans also get a discounted rate. See our pricing page for details.

As well as looking back on the season, this workshop intends to help the athlete get the most from their training, taking you through the steps of choosing key events and structuring your training to ensure peak performance 'on demand'! Our expert sport science team will also introduce you to ways to monitor the week by week, month by month improvements your training regimen is giving you. |

| Mid-winter "get together" |
You are half-way through the winter, and no doubt, the cold weather and short days are taking their toll on motivation! Why not use this opportunity to get together with other athletes for an enjoyable social training ride? We will also feed you some useful information to take into the Spring and the build up to the season. It will also be a chance to finalise your season goals and make sure we know the training structure to be applied. |

| Pre-season preparation |
There is no greater feeling than sitting on the start line, knowing you have done everything you could have done in your preparation. This workshop will cover a variety of topics aimed at ensuring you hit the race season optimally prepared. How do you make sure that you unleash your physical and mental capabilities during the race event? Coming to this workshop will help you understand the preparation needed to achieve peak race day performance. Our sport scientists will ensure you leave the day with specifics on strategies for nutrition, pacing, and mental fine tuning. |
