Sports nutrition from PBscience

Through her association with Science in Sport, Helen Carter really understands the needs of the athlete in choosing the best approaches for sports nutrition to aid endurance performance. Whilst we acknowledge the necessity for the athlete to consider their general diet first before looking to sports nutrition products (they are "supplements" after all!) we understand that the athlete's high level of energy turnover sometimes needs a boost.

One of the key ways we help athletes is to optimise energy fuelling during race events. Using certain measures of physiology we can measure energy turnover (rates of calorie burning) at race intensity and ensure the athlete fuels at the optimal rate to offset this. We cover this and many other foundational principles of sports nutrition in the PBscience workshops.

We have plans to suit the athlete looking to increase their lean mass, to alter their body composition, as well diets to specifically address deficits in key nutrients. Check back for updates!
